Jacquita Parks
Jacquita Parks is an accomplished litigator with extensive experience representing both governmental entities and individuals in diverse matters before State and Federal Courts in Georgia. Her expertise spans personal injury, federal constitutional civil rights claims, labor and employment issues, construction litigation, and real estate disputes. Jacquita has successfully served as lead counsel in multimillion-dollar cases, providing strategic representation across various legal areas.
Before joining Denmark Ashby LLC, Jacquita was a Senior Associate at a national insurance defense firm, where she contributed to the Professional Liability, General Liability, and Architects & Engineers Practices. Her career began as an Assistant Public Defender across multiple Georgia jurisdictions, followed by a role as Senior Law Clerk to Judge Thomas A. Cox, Jr. of the Fulton County Superior Court. Jacquita also served as a Senior Attorney in the Law Department of a municipality, further honing her legal skills.
Outside of her professional practice, Jacquita has long been an active member of her community. She has contributed to legal education through roles such as faculty member for Savannah High School’s Street Law Program, mentor for the 100 Black Men “Court’s in Session” Program, and coach for Central High School’s Mock Trial team. Jacquita’s leadership extends to her involvement in various legal organizations, including serving as Vice President of the Port City Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ Judicial and Public Office Academy. She has also chaired the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers’ Judicial Applicant Review Committee and represented the Foundation Board at Large.
Jacquita is a graduate of the Young Lawyer’s Division Leadership Academy (2015), the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ Judicial and Public Office Academy (2017), and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers’ Leadership Academy 2.0 (2022). She is admitted to practice in the Georgia State Bar, Georgia Supreme Court, and Georgia Court of Appeals, as well as the United States District Courts for both the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia. Jacquita is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section, and the Gate City Bar Association, among other prestigious legal organizations.
Jacquita earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from Tennessee State University in 2007 and went on to receive her law degree from Mercer University School of Law.
When she’s not practicing law, Jacquita enjoys reading, traveling, and discovering new culinary experiences by trying out restaurants in the areas she visits. She is also passionate about mentoring young attorneys, helping to guide and inspire the next generation of legal professionals.
